Role in the ACCENT project: Organisation of activities, contribution of resources, Local Citizens’ Debates
HEUREKA, the Finnish Science Centre, opened to the public in 1989, immediately becoming one of the major attractions in Finland. It has 300 000 visitors per year; 1,000,000 globally. Heureka is known for its highly interactive and popular hands-on science exhibitions, done in close co-operation with the best available scientific expertise and newest knowledge in the area. Developing informal science education in open learning environments has been a key research topic of Heureka.
