Proactive climate education - climate theatre and teaching inspiration, for grade 6 – upper secondary school teachers

13.4.2010 - Educational event - Sweden

For grade 6 – upper secondary school teachers Universeum, Ground Floor in the Universalen - 1.30 – 5.00 pm

Welcome to experience and draw inspiration on how to get your students to be proactive when learning about climate and environmental issues.

The session begins with a theatrical performance “Frossa” - 60 minutes – that is then followed by a discussion in which we explore our thoughts and issues concerning climate changes and the environment from a student perspective.

After this, there will be a presentation and demonstration of the contents and exercises from the recently produced “Method Box” about climate issues for teachers. This Box has been developed by the Gothenburg Region Association of Local Authorities (GR) for Education in cooperation with the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and the International Programme Office for Education and Training.

On this occasion, everyone will be given a free “Climate Box”.
