Target audience: 12 to 14 years old.
The workshop ‘Put Energy in Ecology’ (Stop Energie in Ecologie) has been developed as a workshop for school. During the workshop, facilitated by an edutainer of Technopolis^® in the school, the children have to produce energy to light up a complete building. The energy is produced by wind, hydropower, (sun)light and hydrogen.
During the workshop, children not only learned more about ecology but also learned how to work in teams. They also learned to solve problems. As part of the workshop ‘Put Energy in Ecology’, an educational package has been created. In this package, teachers find more background information and experiments about sunlight and water pressure, the different kinds of green energy,… This educational package was explained during the teacher training on November 24^th.
6 workshops have been given in 3 different schools: on 26 October, 8 November and 26 November 2010.
